Blue Jean Wreath

I've made a few of these now and LOVE them!  They are so cute for a boy wreath, but I'm dying to make a cowgirl wreath too!  I really wish I would have taken a picture of the one I did in jeans with yellow and orange.  Too cute!  They are also at Smith-Rexall Drug in Pleasant Grove, Utah.  Or I'm happy to make one and ship it to you!  $40 each at SRD, plus s/h if I ship it.

Kitchen Cakes

I saw these on Pinterest and thought they were adorable.  I had to make one!  Good 'ol Pinterest led me to the Aly & Ash blog where I found the best tutorial.  You can see how to make them Here.  I did do a few things differently though....that's me, can't follow a recipe to save my life.

I used poster board to make the cardboard strips instead of cereal boxes.  I plan to sell these at Smith-Rexall Drug in Pleasant Grove, and I wanted them to look nice.  Hence, others didn't need to know my choice of breakfast foods.  I also used a cardboard cake round for the base and covered it with coordinating scrapbook paper.  For the towels (those buggers are hard to get on there) I ended up liking it better when I also over-lapped the top towel around the base, instead of just trying to get it to stay put with pins.  Finally, I covered most of the assembled cakes in cellophane to keep the dust off while they are sitting pretty on the shelves.

There ya have it!  If you don't have the time or desire to make one, head on down to the pharmacy or send me and email and I'd be happy to whip up a cake for you!  $35 each at Smith-Rexall
